Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world.
Jonina. 16. Senior.
Cliché title: Goodbye Mornese
Friday, March 18, 2011

Psh. I can't even concentrate on the fact that today was my last day as a junior, as a Mornese student. Know why? I won't even say it. All I'm going to say is my efforts are wasted. WASTED, I TELL YOU. Just kidding, no need to be bitter and all. But I honestly am sad today, and no, not because it was the last day. Kind of. Grr. What a way to end the year.

This day started. . . the usual when it's the yearend activity, with a mass. And for the first and last time, our whole class joined hands during the "Our Father". First time and last time! It was so nice. Because the other two sections are doing it during the regular mass and we did it only once. It's not something to be so proud about, but still, I actually felt us as one class. So. . . united.

In the classroom, we waited for HOURS, okay no, just minutes that felt like hours before we start eating. Of course, we had to eat Vielka's barbecue. Yum-oh. We ate the best-tasting carbonara I've ever tasted. It was soooo good. Then I had to leave the classroom with some classmates for the ECHOES photoshoot. It wasn't exactly a photoshoot but I'd just call it that. That took a long time so the awarding of the behavioral awards started without us. Awwww. I never missed that! When we came back, it was still going on, but only a few are left to be called. I was "Most Refined", you can just say most quiet/gentle/shy, I knew my award would be something like that.

DA-DUM. After that, our adviser started handing out letters for the recognition. Goodbye achiever! I cried because I was consistent until today. So close. I hate that, I kept thinking at that time, "Andun ka na eh." It made me wanna cry more, but I had to keep it together because we still have that last class picture. I bet I look stupid there, smiling with tears in my eyes. Fail Jonina, fail.

But I'm going to be optimistic about this, there's still next year, and that would matter a lot more than this year, as what my adviser said. And I'm really aiming for the honorables now. I must get in there. I shall. Goodbye computer, I gave you so much attention this year, in fact, too much attention. I am really going to lessen my use of this next school year. Again, HONORABLE. HO-NO-RA-BLE.

4TH YEAR, HERE WE COME. ;)

Aww, last post that will be tagged/labeled as "junior" :( Not that I had a lot of posts that were labeled/tagged "junior".

It's Friday, Friday
Thursday, March 17, 2011

Rebecca Black's Friday is a hit for all the wrong reasons. It's a weird song, but it's funny. Almost everyone in school has heard about it. And almost everyone's singing it, especially in our batch, even boys are singing it. That's how popular it is. Oh, and guess what day it is tomorrow? FRAIDAI. I mean, Friday. I bet everyone's going to sing that song. Especially my circle of friends. PARTYIN' PARTYIN' YEAH! I'm actually more excited that tomorrow's Friday and not because it's the last day of school. WE SO EXCITED.

And I will end this post with our class picture. Hi Mornese.

Prom '11
Wednesday, February 16, 2011

I can't really remember much during this night. I easily forget things, so yeah. All I can say is that I had so much fun! Wasn't expecting that at all, since I wasn't really excited about prom. Damn, the dancing part. It was . . . fun and awkward at the same time. :O

Posted photos . . . 'cause I can't really say anything. Teehee. Speechless.

Prom's in a week. Excited? No. Awkwardness. It's just prom, stop making such a big deal out of it.

Foundation days' over. Birthday = fun, but not as fun as last year. ;)

I am just lazy today. Lazy lazy.

Stop the violence
Thursday, January 13, 2011

We get it that you're mad at us, but geez, you don't to be so offensive. We have feelings too, you know.

Proud of our batch today, for the first time, we felt united 'cause of the intrams. We won basketball! Hoora. But some dudes are mad at us. And now it's like an all-out war. Shouldn't we handle this maturely? We're high school students for crying out loud and we act like we're in kindergarten. I'm so tired of this wars-between-batches. It's getting old okay. STOP THE VIOLENCE.

Just need to put it out there. Rant! K.

So, umm
Wednesday, January 12, 2011

What happened today? Is this my first entry for 2011? Okay.

We're having the practices for our field demo, which will be danced on my birthday, by the way. And foundation night is on my birthday too! Party! Going back .. we've been practicing for three days and so far, we're having great progress. Which is good because we'll be able to finish early! Hopefully.

Yesterday we had our first practice for our PE practical test, which is dancing swing. Ugh, I hate it. My partner was absent and I looked like an idiot. But, the good thing is, we'll be dancing to Glee's (I've Had) The Time of My Life! Awesome. That's the only exciting part for me.

K. I got bored. Guess I'll just come back when I have something sensible to blog about.

Christmas vacation '10
Sunday, December 26, 2010

Here we are in a hotel, hoora for aircon! Had fun with my cousins last night. I love Christmas. It's the time where relatives get together and catch up. It's nice! I got to catch up with my close cousin, she just graduated college and is now working. She has a BlackBerry, so yeah, I envy her. We kinda had a photo shoot, it was fun too! We were all laughing so loud I was afraid someone would have a noise complaint against us. We didn't have games as we usually do, which was sad, it could've been a lot more fun. They went home around 12 AM.

Goodbye Christmas, hello 2011. I am so ready for next year, the "starting over" and all. Do you have your resolutions? I don't. Let's all admit it, we all have resolutions yet they're only effective for a few weeks. After that, nada. Yes, yes? So next year I won't even bother, I just want to be happy next year. No drama. But of course there will be. OH! I have a new year's resolution, it just popped into my mind. And that is . . . work on my social skills. THERE WE GO! Seriously, I have to start being a little more approachable around people. I remember when I was in elementary, people keep telling me their first impression of me is suplada, mataray, but I am not. I'm just socially awkward, I don't know. I can't even start a conversation with someone, except my close friends and family. It even affects my freakin' recitation in school! I am too shy though I know the correct answer, then someone answers the same answer as mine and they get it right, okay damn. I need to change this.

Guess that's all. I'm so bored right now, they're watching a horror movie outside and I'm just here. And there we go again.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ;)

A Walk to Remember

I really love this movie, I don't know why I can't get over it. It's old but I watched it for the first time last Friday at Vielka's.

Landon Carter is my dream guy. <3>

Not feeling well + exams next week = PERFECT

What can I say? I thought I was feeling better but it looks it's the other way around. So, my tita arrived from the US today, and she got us clothes. So happy because I fixed my closet months ago and decided to give some of the clothes away or just hand them down to my sister, after that, my closet was . . . dead. So now it's going to be alive again! Hoora. Thanks tita!

Exams next week, and I tried to study earlier but I was having a freakin' headache that I can't concentrate. I'm only thankful that this headache only attacks when I'm at home, and not at school because the pain is just unbearable that I have to lay down for it to go away. I try to do everything because I might get confined because of this. So yeah, for now, nagtitiis lang muna ako. Pushing through all this pain just to study is hard because it only gives me more headache. Wow, that one day absent didn't help at all, a little maybe, but generally, no. I missed 3 quizzes? And the long test for Health! Which is equivalent to the quarterly test in my academics. I really need to make up for this before vacation.

I haven't done my Christmas shopping yet for the gifts of my loved ones. We're supposed to do it today but since I'm blogging here right now, it's pretty obvious we're not leaving any time soon. Kinda scared because if we don't do it today, we won't be able to it tomorrow either because of the exams. And if that happens, I'm afraid that I'll be giving my gifts next year unless some miracle happens and we can do it on Thursday.

Wish me luck! For everything.

Pasta ala Jejemon
Thursday, December 9, 2010

Absent today since we arrived home late last night since we went to DFA and it took us 45545802034 hours before we got finished, and I really need to rest, I was supposed to be absent yesterday but I didn't because we were going to cook for GT, and it's the Immaculate Conception. Okay, I'll blog about yesterday.

We started the day cooking for GT, we had to cook dinner. We prepared "Pasta ala Jejemon", funny name, huh? We named it that because the pasta we used have different colors. Hihihi. Before we ate, Kenneth led the prayer, he said, "Lord, we had the time of our life". Laughtrip. Kenneth always sang that song ever since he heard it on Glee, soon everyone started singing it. Moving on, the consistency of our sauce was wrong, it was not saucy, it was watery. =)) After GT, we had the mass. Then recess, then we had the quiz bee, all the year levels won.

Currently watching Glee, Finn officially broke up with Rachel. Aw. :(

Feeling depressed
Monday, December 6, 2010

In the midst of all these projects, I find the need to keep myself sane. Warning: this is a major rant entry.

Bullets
  • We won the newscasting thing, surprised but at the same time not surprised because I don't really care.
  • As you know, I'm sick. I think I'm getting better, but I feel worse. I don't know if it's a side effect of the meds.
  • Something unexpected happened today. Okay I'll admit, it was kinda expected but I half-hoped it wouldn't happen but it did, so yeah. This is actually the highlight of my day, but highlight in a not-so-good way. Sure, I'm happy that someone . . . blah blah blah, but at the same time it's kinda awkward if . . . blah blah blah. Okay I'm not ready to tell the whole story yet.
  • X thinks I'm mad at her. I'M NOT, OKAY? :)
  • My head aches, and voice is hoarse. Perfect for our choir presentation, which is not tomorrow! Huzzah.
  • So far, we're doing good there, since whatever grade we get there will be the grade in our card. That's what they said. Talk about pressure. :O
Okay, so that's it for now. Damn, I pray I get better, physically and emotionally. Wow, drama mode.

That was a surprise
Friday, December 3, 2010

So, our presentation didn't turn out as bad as I thought. Which was weird, considering the fact that we barely practiced. The first part though, went wrong. Technical difficulties. Every section experienced that. School sound system = FAIL. We had a last minute change, they rearranged the order of the flow because of the VTR, it was an okay-we're-doomed moment. But it worked out well in the end, which was a relief. I don't really care if we win or lose, the important thing is that we finish it properly, which we did achieve. I'm proud of my section, win or lose. PARTY PARTY! =))

Yesterday, Tr. Tina gave us a sermon about how we haven't let go of our 2nd year life. She asked Faenza, Marignano, and Castelnuovo people to stand when called. She asked each one of us if we've already moved on.

  • Faenza : "Slight lang." Almost everyone answered that, except Abby, who said she had already. Aww Abby?
  • Castelnuovo: "Ay oo! Sobrang naka-move on na kami!" I lol'ed at that one.
  • Marignano: "Yes." Though I saw some of them said no.
And Tr. Tina was like, "Oh, Faenza lang pala di nakakapag-move on?" TRUE. She also told us that we weren't united. And that us not moving on from last year is keeping us from being united since that "Faenza naman laging panalo, talo lagi Castel" attitude is still going around in our section, and that we should let other people come into our life, we only have 4 months left for this school year. Next year, different classmates again. One more thing she said, and this one just hit me like whoa, "Alam niyo bakit 'di kayo nananalo? Kasi lagi kayong pressured, 'di kayo nag-eenjoy sa ginagawa niyo." Now that, oh wow, so true.

Today, everyone was like PARTY PARTY! Today's fun. So yeah.

I always do the right thing, but maybe I wanna be a little crazy this time.

Not expecting
Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Tomorrow will be our contest for the English month. Honestly, there are no chances of us winning this thing. We barely practiced even though we practiced last Saturday, which by the way was a total waste of time because majority of us did . . . whoops, wait for it . . . NOTHING. We haven't ran through the whole show with everyone. Well maybe they're doing it now because at this moment they're having their last practice but I didn't attend. So basically, we'll have no idea of what's the flow tomorrow. Congratulations to whoever will win, who is surely not us. Wow. I'm so pessimistic, that's a first. But seriously, I still can't believe we lost last August's competition. We worked our butt off. I had body pains, body pains that I only get during PE, but noo, we just danced and look. UGH. Tralalalala. Ranting again. I just can't help it, okay? I'm just going to do what I need to do, and that is, to act like someone from the squatters' area. Bah.

Still coughing, and now I have colds. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME.

GLEE'S EPISODE TODAY IS LOVE. :) kbye.

Tiring but fun
Sunday, November 28, 2010

Went Christmas shopping today! For clothes only. So yeah, I shall tell about my day. Hooray! Another not-so-useless entry.

We woke up early, around 6 AM. Because we planned to attend the TV mass at Megamall, we ate breakfast at Mcdo along SLEX first, then we got there around 8:45AM, it starts at 9AM. You see, this mass on TV, is the mass we hear whenever we can't attend mass on Sunday. So it's kinda weird when we got there. There were cameras and lights everywhere, more like a movie set than a chapel if you ask me. It was nicer in real life, and smaller. There was a Children's Room there, like a see through room, so that kids won't interrupt the mass. Smart idea. The mass started and ended.

When we got out, Megamall's open. So we went around and found some Bosconians there! Cool. Bought flats at Maldita. I texted Vielka and asked her where Forever 21 (highlight of my day) is. She forgot, so we looked at the directory and searched for it. Then it was like, "No results found for FOREVER 21". I'm like, whaaaaaaat? But we still kept searching for it, we were at an escalator then I went, "Okay, never mind" then poof! Forever 21! WOOOOO! Instant happiness. There were only a few people, good thing. It's a huge store, you can get lost in it, literally. First thing I saw, accessories. Then I went around and tried a few tops, but then I didn't like it. My mom showed me a top, I knew instantly that was it. Then bought a necklace, supposed to get an owl necklace, but mom didn't like it. Nooooooo. She picked the ribbon shaped instead. It would go better with the top. So yeah.

They bought a few more things then we're done! My feet were aching like mad. And now I'm tired.

Going to Estates 1 tomorrow for English practice! Excited. I need to get a higher grade in English so we better do great! :)

GOOD VIBES, GOOD VIBES.

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Hello blog. Just thought of blogging because there are no more projects or quizzes to study for, for now. Hihi. Take advantage, this rarely happens.

No more rants for now. Except one, I hate my hair. It's so short, I can't even, ugh. I just hate it. I regret cutting it short, I see girls with long hair and I'm like *tears*.

My life? It's going good I guess, except the part that my studies is going down, yeah it's okay. We're going to practice at Abby's place on Monday for our English presentation on Wednesday? Abby got mad, not mad, but disappointed with our group 'cause we keep on laughing everytime we sing. I can't help it! Mababaw pa naman ako. So yeah, I need to do well on Monday.

Yesterday, we had our amazing race at Auxilium, forgot to wear PE. Stupid. Tr. Tina put me on charge of 1 group. Leadership, it's just not my thing. Good thing Michelle was there, she was helping me get the attention of the others. Thanks Michelle. :)) So yeah, I like the spongebob game. Thazit.

Going gift shopping tomorrow! WEEEEEEEEEE! Christmas, here we come. ;)

Studying is eating me alive
Thursday, November 25, 2010

Why can't my life be like the ones on tv? You know, when some girl fails class and suddenly becomes determined and that siga background music plays and then time comes and she aced her exams. Why can't I be like that? Oh right, we're not on tv.

As much as I want to succeed this quarter, I'm really having a difficult time, especially Chemistry and Geometry. I remember when I was in elementary, I used to be so excited for Chemistry and hated Biology. Well, it's the other way around now.

Improvement: I recited in Chemistry! YEZ. I really hope to do well this quarter. I keep blogging about my studies. EW. We're going Christmas shopping on Sunday! Going to Forever 21, oh finally. I'm gonna feel like a lady now. HUZZAH.

That's it for now. ;)

Times have changed
Monday, November 22, 2010

I really hate being sick. I rarely get sick these past few years, I was even proud to say to everyone, "I may be thin but I rarely get sick". In short, I'm healthy. Kidding, of course not, I'm freakin' thin. Okay, I'm having this chesty cough since last week. It's really irritating me now, I can't concentrate in class with me coughing all over the place, uhhh, not really, I cover my mouth of course. But seriously, I sound like an old man with lung cancer right now. Starting to feel headaches. WHY NOW.

Why now, when I'm really all up for the 3rd quarter, when I'm all up for the recitation and all. Just earlier at Filipino, teacher called me to recite, man I sound horrible. Nakakawalang-gana tuloy. Please oh please, be gone. I'm doing everything! I stopped eating sweets (kinda), I drink warm water almost every minute at home, I can't even eat scramble because of this. It's making my tummy sad.

Oh, and my grades for the 2nd quarter? Well, majority of them went down. I expected Chemistry, but ENGLISH. ENGLISH. ENGLISH. Until now, I can't accept it. I'm not proud or anything, but we barely did anything in that subject. Why drop so low, huh? I really hate .. never mind. Even Geometry dropped. I am really starting to hate Geometry now, sometimes I really don't get the lessons.

BUT NO, enough with the ranting, time to start doing this right. I'm hanging by a thread, I can't let this happen again. Time to really study now. It's now or never.

What up
Saturday, November 6, 2010

We had our Chemistry trip yesterday! So I took notes on the first stop, UPLB, but then at Coke and Gardenia, I just tried paying attention to the lectures.

* We watched The Social Network while on the bus. :>

UPLB
  • It's supposed to be Yakult, but our teacher said that Yakult didn't allow us in. AWW. And I wanted a free bottle of Yakult!
  • So I was shocked to see us entering UPLB. I was like, "Whoa! UPLB?!"
  • We took a tour on how milk and cheese were made there.
  • Okay, I heard almost nothing on some of the lectures.
SM CALAMBA
  • The place was newly built. This is not part of the itinerary, we just ate lunch here.
  • Got there at around 11 am, we were given 1 hour to eat and do what we want there.
  • Me and my friends ate at Mcdo! Just ate a sandwich and coke with fries.
  • Went to Astroplus, Vielka triggered the security thing there. HAHAHA.
  • Went to National, Christine and Vielka triggered the security thing at the entrance because they had a book in their bag, which were already bought in a different place but the price tag was still in there. I lol'ed at that.
  • Left there late because some of the students came back late. Tr. Tina was so mad. Tsktsk.
Coca-Cola
  • They got a mini auditorium and a museum in their factory. Amazed.
  • We took a tour in there. There were some pretty cool bottles in display. Again, amazed.
  • We took a tour of the actual factory of where the bottles of Coke (and Sprite) were filled, it was kinda noisy, but it was so cool.
  • Free bottle of Coke! But the mouth of my bottle had rust. ugh. I still drank it, but didn't finish it.
  • We got out there at around 3:30 and we still have one place left and we have to be at school at 4.
Gardenia
  • We watched a presentation explaining the process of making bread which pretty much shows everything we need to know.
  • We took a tour of the factory. Still amazed by the dough because it looks like a huge pillow I just wanna lay in it.
  • That huge revolving cooler thing. 8D
  • It started raining and we bought muffins to take home. We were also given free Twiggies. It's a yellow cake!
  • It rained so hard, even when you're in an umbrella, you'll still get freakin' wet.
  • Got in the bus like I just took a shower, feeling cold because of the aircon.
  • Watched Lilo and Stitch on the way home! :)
I had to go down at Mcdo Belair because my service will fetch me there. Again, I raced through the rain. Then I ate at Mcdo and my brother was there then we went home when the service came. Yay.

BACK TO SCHOOL. I hate dislike our new sitting arrangement.

Suckish
Thursday, October 28, 2010

Pfft. Supposed to watch The Social Network today but noo, I'm here at home doing things next to nothing.

And I really don't like writing in that journal our teacher assigned to us. NOTHING WORTH WRITING IS HAPPENING. What would I write there, huh? I'm so freakin' bored, doing the same things over and over and over and over again. I badly need school. Just for the sake of something to do and not for the lessons. I want to see my friends.

Tomorrow's the Faenza reunion and I won't be able to go . . . again.

Sanity, where are you going? Don't leave! :(
